Just Ride....

Just Ride... I ended up doing 2 of these motorcycle layouts. Using the same Let's Scrap sketch and mixing some of the pics up a little bit for 2 different Gunslinger albums... love this sketch!!

Scentsy....

So I started selling Scentsy.... if you love the smell of candles you will love Scentsy. I have 3 burners in my house and they are burning most of the time... one in our hobby room, the kitchen and, of course, the smelly teenage boys room!! lol One thing I love about Scentsy is the fact that there is no flame.. they are on warmers and the wax is never hot! No worries about the kids or pets getting burned on anything. Too late at night to be drinking my Starbucks but never too late to smell it!! ;0)

The top layout is of the boys enjoy ribs.... really really enjoying ribs!! :0) 

The above layout is our adventures putting together the cozy coupes... ohhhh the hell we went thru!! lol Pinched fingers, bruised toes.... but worth it in the end.. they boys loved them!!

Let's Scrap Leap Around the World Blog Hop

Feb 1st we are kicking off a Blog Hop at Let's Scrap. I am 1 of 50 for this Hop.... yes that's right I said 50!! As I wind up the January LOAD Challenge I am gearing up for the Let's Scrap Leap Around the World Blog Hop things are getting a little crazy here. I am tickled to be part of the Blog Hop... I've never been part of one, played along with a few others, so this is exciting for me and I'm so excited to get so many new people to my blog to check out what I have been doing... :) This will kick off at 10:00am Wednesday morning.. Feels Like Home....

#68... Feels like home.... I took these pictures on one of our motorcycle rides and thought I would add them to my BAM (Book About Me) Album... the journaling is as follows:

'Growing up in Hallwood and hearing the trains throughout the night was home for me. I grew up, moved to Marysville and then to Yuba City... didn't hear the trains anymore. We bought a house in 1994 on the other side of Yuba City and the first night there I knew I was home... I could hear the trains in the middle of the night. I can only hear them at night when all is quiet but they are there. I can feel myself sigh.. yes... I am home, I feel safe, I am content'

#63 for my LOAD. I did this layout for a Challenge on Let's Scrap.. the challenge was too use a Let's Scrap sketch and swap out the pic size for smaller pics. You get a whole new look out of the sketch as well as using more pics on your pages. 

This is a layout of my boys... they are so damn adorable!! These are some old pics from the summer of 2006... I LOVE these faces!!!

This is the sketch I used... I swapped out the 5x7 for 2 4x6's and got rid of some 'dead' space on the pic... I only used one side of the sketch and turned it to fit the pics I wanted to use... :0)

Forum Shops - #59 & #60 LOAD

This is #59 and #60 for the LOAD Challenge. I used this weeks sketch from Let's Scrap... love this sketch. I have done 2 other double page layouts using this sketch already and I will be posting those thru the week... :0)

Dog Days of Christmas... LOAD

So a little behind here on my LOAD Challenge... I was down sick for 3 days this week and am playing a little catch up... :0) So this is page 3 and 4... Dog Days of Christmas....

This is from Christmas 2005 out at my mom's house... there were dogs everywhere... our Jazzy, moms - Hermie and my sisters Bella... they were all so cute I couldn't help but take pics of them all... :0)

This is my first post for the LOAD Challenge... I used a Let's Scrap sketch. 'Patch In Party' is another layout for a friends Gunslinger Album... I left spots for him to journal on it, it was before our time with the Gunslingers... :0) Yeah... day 2 and I have 2 done!!!

Let the LOAD Challenge begin!!!

Happy New Year!! So let the LOAD Challenge begin!!! I was gone most of the day and so excited to get home and see so many people already busy with this challenge... on the facebook group as well as on Let's Scrap!! I have been busy answering questions, commenting on layouts and moving the ones on Let's Scrap based on the sketches to their own album..... so many already playing and it is only the 1st day. Can't wait to see what all of us can get done this month!! Sooooo on that note I guess I had better get busy with it myself! :0)

Porkin Out

This is my layout based on this weeks sketch at Let's Scrap!!

This is from Reno's Rib Cook Off they have it every year Labor Day Weekend and it is alot of fun and the food is soooo yummy!!! This is an event that the Gunslingers MC group went to and we had some friends go with us too.... this is for Either One's album that I am doing for him..... Love the pigs!! 

This is the sketch that my layout is based on.... great sketch... I turned it and tweaked it a bit but love the sketch. I will use it many more times... :0)

Coffee Coffee Coffee

So you might say... 'shocking another Starbucks layout' right? I know... very surprising. But I put the challenge out at Let's Scrap to use a song title for the title of your layout and I came across these loose pics and they needed a layout and this song popped into my head and then a layout was born!!!

My adorable husband was showing me how to scan and merge images tonight... the detail is incredible but I still need to play with it a little bit... but very happy with it and the layout!! Well off to bed for me and my adorable guy... Night All!! :0)

Let's Scrap Design Team Challenge!!!

I'm so excited!! This was my first DT Challenge at Let's Scrap!! I tinkered and tweaked this layout for days.... The Challenge is that you do a layout with a song title as your page title... mine was 'Rockin Around the Christmas Tree'. Years ago when we had 5 teenage boys in the house, craziness! I was trying to get a pic of the kids in front of the Christmas tree with Santa hats on.... was soooo not happening easily. After watching them being goofy I decided to start taking pics and do a lil mini photo shoot thinking how great it would be on a layout.... well.... years later I finally got the layout done!!! :0)

My tree is from an old Deluxe Cuts and I added some stickles to it...

Used some twine from The Twinery... used my Lyrical Letters, Base Camp and Quarter Note Cricut Carts for all my lettering and music notes....

I had so much fun with this layout. I hope it inspires everyone to get a little playful with their layouts. Come to Let's Scrap at take part of the challenge or do it yourself.... Have fun with it!! :0)

LOAD Challenge for January!!!

Ok everyone... I'm putting out a LOAD Challenge for January to everyone... LayOut A Day!! It might seem like alot BUT every double page layout counts as 2... I'll even make it easier and let you do a card and count it. The whole idea isn't to stress you out but to start 2012 off with a bang and get scrapbooking!! I put the challenge out on Facebook (if not a friend and want to be look me up Cathy van de Bruinhorst) and let me know and I'll add you to the group OR go to Let's Scrap at www.letsscrap.ning.com and look up the group for 100 layouts in 2012 and look for my LOAD Challenge and hook it up there.... I know you guys can do it.. and even if you don't get too 31 layouts for January, just think of it and try it... :0) Thanks!!

Senior Photo Shoot

I used this weeks sketch from Let's Scrap.... this is a few pages of a photo shoot I did when Raym was a Senior in high school... which was just a few years ago.... lol Class of 2005!! Ohhhh I feel soooo old!! lol

This is the sketch.... a great sketch that I'm sure I will use alot... I see wedding layouts in my future with it.. :)

Let's Scrap Design Team....!!!

So on Dec 1st I started my first term on the Design Team at Let's Scrap... I am soooo excited and ready to go. There is a great group of ladies on the DT with me. If you haven't checked out Let's Scrap you should... www.letsscrap.ning.com there is so much to do there.. come play with us!

The next couple of weeks will be very busy for me with the DT, my scrapbooking classes, Christmas parties, crops and the best news - it looks like the kids have found a home. There is a family that is ready and eager to adopt these 2 kids and just in time for Christmas! I think the couple is great and think that it will be a great match. A crazy couple of weeks but so worth it for them.

So time to get busy... so much scrapbooking to do.. so little time!! Have a great weekend!!
