This sketch was fun and easy to work with... you should try it too!! 

The CIrcus is in town...

This layout is done with 'All About Boys' stack from DCWV. Everyone month, on their blog, they have a sketch challenge.. you use their sketch and one of their paper stacks. The pics that I used on this layout have a red shadow about them because of the playground equipment... this paper worked perfect for them!!

NSD Challenges...

I did these 4 layouts up for 'The ScrapRoom' Challenges .. I found them thru facebook!!

Challenge #1 - Using their sketch and a punch somewhere on the layout...

Challenge #2 - 'create a layout using patterned paper strips no wider than 2".  They can be as long as 12" but no wider than 2".   You can use cardstock of any size and any embellishments that you like, but the patterned paper has to be less than 2" wide' 

I used a Let's Scrap Sketch for this one... 

Challenge #3 - 'create a layout that has the word memory or memories'

this is an old DCWV sketch

Challenge #4 - 'create a layout with patterned paper from at least three different manufacturers'

 I used a sketch that I had filed under 'misc' not sure where I found it...

There is another challenge on The ScrapRoom... but I have so many other places I want to check out before the end of NSD...

DCWV posted a new sketch challenge this morning and I loved the sketch. Sooooo I used it twice this morning on these two layouts... not used with DCWV paper so I can't enter the challenge with them but I will do up another one and enter it later.. ;0)

Let's Scrap Challenge #6

This is Eniko's Challenge #6 thru Let's Scrap!!

"Welcome to an other awesome challenge! This one is in honor of National Scrapbooking Day, which is May 5th!

Since scrapbooking is such an important part of our lives and daily activities, it is only fitting to pay homage to our favorite passion on National Scrapbooking Day!

For this challenge, you must use the sketch below to create a layout about yourself scrapbooking! The challenge begins today, a few days before National Scrapbooking Day, to give you ample time to prepare by taking photos and rifling through your stash, so that you can actually work on it during our favorite Holiday!"

Motorcycle Run...

Sacramento Law Enforcement Memorial Motorcycle Run 2011

This was a fun day.. 44 mile ride from Sac, along the Delta River to Isleton. But boy, oh boy was it a HOT one!! We all were wiped out from the heat by the time we got home. So all these pics with smiling faces soon faded... lol But a great cause...

Now back to scrapbooking... May is a busy month and I don't want to fall behind!!

Kameka....

This is a double page layout using last weeks Let's Scrap sketch... I turned it and tweaked it to work with my pics but love the way it turned out.

For those of you who don't know... we have had 3 German Shepherds. All 3 have had such different personalities and quirks. This is Kameka, her mom and dad were 'cop dogs' and the breeder works with my guy. So he followed the process of the babies.. birth, the fuzzy lil buggers and then went to pick out his puppy. This was his dog... she was a doll and very sweet but very protective of him. Jazzy got mad at Marcel and voiced her opinion and the fight was on and Jazzy lost the battle... $2000 later, surgery and damage to her eye.. Jazzy was a mess. We were concerned doing foster care that something like this 'could' happen to a child in our home. We gave her back to the breeder... she is an incredible dog.. she ended up with a Deputy in Marcel's department and is a 'cop dog' and a good one. She is doing great and this layout can still bring a tear to My Adorable One's eye thinking of his dog... Kameka...
