Kameka....

This is a double page layout using last weeks Let's Scrap sketch... I turned it and tweaked it to work with my pics but love the way it turned out.

For those of you who don't know... we have had 3 German Shepherds. All 3 have had such different personalities and quirks. This is Kameka, her mom and dad were 'cop dogs' and the breeder works with my guy. So he followed the process of the babies.. birth, the fuzzy lil buggers and then went to pick out his puppy. This was his dog... she was a doll and very sweet but very protective of him. Jazzy got mad at Marcel and voiced her opinion and the fight was on and Jazzy lost the battle... $2000 later, surgery and damage to her eye.. Jazzy was a mess. We were concerned doing foster care that something like this 'could' happen to a child in our home. We gave her back to the breeder... she is an incredible dog.. she ended up with a Deputy in Marcel's department and is a 'cop dog' and a good one. She is doing great and this layout can still bring a tear to My Adorable One's eye thinking of his dog... Kameka...

This is another layout for Vieve's album. I am loving working with the amazing pics that she has.... beautiful settings, beautiful outfits and, of course, beautiful Vieve!!

Luxor

This is this weeks sketch from Let's Scrap..... You will have to excuse the blurred lines. I was having a fight with my scanner and it won... in reality the lines are ohhhh sooo straight!! ;0) Vegas is our favorite place to go... we go once a year. I never get tired of taking pics there, seeing the sites and enjoying the atmosphere. We are getting ready to go again in a few weeks... :0)

Aunt Wilma...

My dear Aunt Wilma passed away on Saturday. Many of us were lucky enough to see her before she passed. Several of us were with her when she passed on as well... I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Wilma - family get togethers and such but my favorite memories that I treasure of those of when I was just a teenager and it was just her and I... either house sitting and playing board games or shopping. Taking my boys to her house when they were just 'wee - ones' for trick-or-treating. She loved all of her niece and nephews and never missed the opportunity to tell us all that we needed to come and visit her more than any of us did.

Aunt Wilma was the oldest of 5 children.... she was also the first one to pass on. This will be hard on her 2 brothers and 2 sisters as well as on her only son.

I have pulled together some pics that I have of Aunt Wilma to share with my family....

Pumping Iron....

This is another layout using a Let's Scrap sketch... Pumping Iron!! Look at those bam bam's!! We work out at a 24 Express Gym... a little small but it works great for my Adorable One's shifts. We took these pics one  of the last times of his swing shifts.. he would get off at 11:30pm and we would go and work out then. Hardly anyone there so it worked out great for taking pics....

Let's Scrap Design Team!!

YES!! I made it on the Let's Scrap Design Team!! 

This term will take us from April 1st the July 31st!! 

Not sure if I like starting on April 1st but maybe it is a good omen!! lol May will be a month long NSD Celebration at Let's Scrap... filled with games, prizes, challenges and tons of fun! So be sure to check it out and play along... :0) I am so excited to be on the DT again this term... last term I worked with some amazingly talented women... got to go thru some sad times and some incredibly happy times with them and it will be weird not working with them... but I am looking forward to getting to know the new DT. The next 4 months will be an adventure and alot of fun... :0) 

In Bloom....

In Bloom.... another sketch from Let's Scrap! I did this layout for my class. The girls wanted something 'springy' when our weather was all sunshine and blooms. I drove around and got pics of the walnut orchards with the wild mustard and then ended up at Sperbeck's Nursery for the rest of the pics.... Lois was great and took me around to show me what was in bloom.. it was alot of fun!!

Vieve.....

This is another layout for an album I am doing for Vieve.... I'm going to be seeing her in April so I will be busy with pics for her album.... all these beautiful pics of a beautiful person.... love my Vieve!!

If you want to see it closer just click on the image... alot of the 'bling' details didn't show up on the scan... all the little coins are shinny gold... the border strip on the right page has some copper stickles blinging up the holes from the border punch....

Ok.. now back to working on more layouts... soooo many pictures and so little time.. ;0)

Just Ride....

Just Ride... I ended up doing 2 of these motorcycle layouts. Using the same Let's Scrap sketch and mixing some of the pics up a little bit for 2 different Gunslinger albums... love this sketch!!

Scentsy....

So I started selling Scentsy.... if you love the smell of candles you will love Scentsy. I have 3 burners in my house and they are burning most of the time... one in our hobby room, the kitchen and, of course, the smelly teenage boys room!! lol One thing I love about Scentsy is the fact that there is no flame.. they are on warmers and the wax is never hot! No worries about the kids or pets getting burned on anything. Too late at night to be drinking my Starbucks but never too late to smell it!! ;0)

The above layout is our adventures putting together the cozy coupes... ohhhh the hell we went thru!! lol Pinched fingers, bruised toes.... but worth it in the end.. they boys loved them!!

Let's Scrap Leap Around the World Blog Hop

Feb 1st we are kicking off a Blog Hop at Let's Scrap. I am 1 of 50 for this Hop.... yes that's right I said 50!! As I wind up the January LOAD Challenge I am gearing up for the Let's Scrap Leap Around the World Blog Hop things are getting a little crazy here. I am tickled to be part of the Blog Hop... I've never been part of one, played along with a few others, so this is exciting for me and I'm so excited to get so many new people to my blog to check out what I have been doing... :) This will kick off at 10:00am Wednesday morning.. Feels Like Home....

#68... Feels like home.... I took these pictures on one of our motorcycle rides and thought I would add them to my BAM (Book About Me) Album... the journaling is as follows:

'Growing up in Hallwood and hearing the trains throughout the night was home for me. I grew up, moved to Marysville and then to Yuba City... didn't hear the trains anymore. We bought a house in 1994 on the other side of Yuba City and the first night there I knew I was home... I could hear the trains in the middle of the night. I can only hear them at night when all is quiet but they are there. I can feel myself sigh.. yes... I am home, I feel safe, I am content'
