I did this layout for a Let's Scrap Design Team Challenge... the challenge was using masks and stamping in a layout and this is what I came up with. I love the way the layout turned out it is very heritage looking.... this is a picture of my mother and her 4 siblings as children. I think this is the only picture I have seen of all 5 of them together... not sure of the date so I will do the journaling when I can figure that out... thanks for checking it out... :)

This is a layout of the kids 'Engagement Photo Shoot' we went to Ellis Lake and took pics one day and I have scrapbooked them for them but not for me... so I thought the sketch this week from Sketch Inspiration worked great for them.... Sooooo many photos and never enough time... :0)
Dave and Cindy.....
This is a layout I just did for a scrapbooking challenge for DCWV... the layout and the sketch I used... tell me what you think? I didn't use traditional snow papers but I had an idea and ran with it and love how it turned out!!

Pearls....
This was last weeks sketch from Let's Scrap... I've been a little busy so I just got it finished. This is another layout from the kids wedding and Hannah's Dad putting on her pearls..... love the pics! :0)
this is the punch I used....
a little poem that goes as follows: "Daddy's Little Girl - Through the years you've been there for all life's brought my way, from friendships, boys and homework and now my wedding day. I want so much to thank you for all you've given me... your care, your love and wisdom and the lasting memories. For even though I'm now grown up dressed in silk and pearls, remember this my wedding day... I'm still your little girl. I love you Daddy."
This is the sketch I used for the layout....

My Son...
So tonight I sit at my scrapbooking table totally out of sorts. This afternoon around 4pm my son came thru the front door... 'mommy help'.. this from a 6ft 1in, 200 lb... 17 yr old boy. His face was swollen and bleeding... everywhere.... tossed him in the shower and started rinsing off his face to see what the damage was... threw on some dry clothes and off we were to Urgent Care. He will be ok... 5 hrs later we were home with 3 stitches on the side of his nose, a slight concussion, black and blue all over his face and swelling that just doesn't seem to want to stop. Scratches and bruises all over him.... he was walking down the street with a friend, a car went by and the guys were starring them down and they 'barked at them'.. yes I said barked at them... ??? The guys in the car went down the street and turned around and came up behind the boys and jumped them. Taylor got the worst end of the deal the kid that went at him went at his face and did a nasty job of it too. I handled it like any mom would do... protecting my boy... now I sit... he is asleep and I am shaking and in tears and absolutely in shock at the thought of someone just pounding their fists into his face... someone they didn't know at all. Not caring what kind of damage that they would do and then jumping in a car and running away... I don't get it and I don't want too either. My poor little boy... he may not be small enough to sit on my lap and me hold him when he is sick anymore but he is still my little boy and I am just in shock at this... what is this world coming too...? And I wonder... if I chain him to his bed in his room will I get into trouble for it?? A mom has to protect after all.... :0(

The Dress.....
Ok.. not my best layout but I'm happy with it. I was trying out for the DT at Green Tangerine's and you could only use products from their store, and while the store is huge I hadn't been there for a few months so I went with some basic stuff that I 'knew' they would still have... so I did another wedding layout.. :0)
a close up of the stitching....
I have scrapbooked these pics before for one of the albums that I am making... so here is another spin on the same photos...
font is from my Cricut - lyrical letters, sewing from my Sew Easy... liquid chalks, stickles....
a close up of the stitching....
I didn't know what they had in stock on flowers so I just used my cricut and George cart to cut out my own - crinkle, ink and stickle and done....

Zola Emily Moak
I did this layout for a Let's Scrap Design Team challenge... the challenge was to use an 8x10 pic, 5 shapes and some twine.... so I have my 8x10 pic... my 5 shapes are at the bottom of the page and the twine is tied from the layout to the tag... check, check, check... done!!This is a picture of my Grandmother Zola's Graduating Class from Bigg Union High School, Class of 1929. The picture wasn't in great shape but I got ahold of it and made a copy of it.. years ago. It was a little odd sized as well and not very straight, which is why I ran the chipboard piece down the side.. to distract from it.. :0)
The chipboard was glued down with Glue Dots Mini Dots... I inked this with dark brown liquid chalk..
Always and Forever.....
This is a layout done with Sketchabilities sketch #54... photo look familiar? Why yes it does... I'm doing up 3 12x12 albums of the kids wedding and I used the same photo with a sketch from Let's Scrap.. :0)
So here is the sketch and a few close ups of the layout...
So here is the sketch and a few close ups of the layout...
couldn't find the right coloring in the flowers I had so I ended up using Tim Holtz Distress Inks... 3 different colors to get what I wanted here...

The Gunslingers Patching In
Ok... so I started the Halloween mini album and had to put it off to the side... I promise to get going on it this week again. I had to get a few other projects done first. Here is a layout from a Let's Scrap sketch. This is from my adorable one getting patched in for the Gunslingers Motorcycle Club... he was so excited. I try and do the layouts for the club album very non-blingy, after all it is for a Motorcycle Group... lol So here are some pics of the layout and the sketch that I used for it...
I added a little 'smooch' in between the pics, it was a little too plain for me. Love using the silver eyelets on the motorcycle layouts....
I did the 'Gunslingers' at an angle to give it a little bit of a 'banner-ish' look... the Gunslingers is done with my cricut (lyrical letters) and then I went over it with my glitter gel pen... a little bling never hurts.... :)
