Let's Scrap Sketches Layouts

I have been falling behind on my blog posts of my recent layouts.. 

probably because I haven't had much time to put into creating lately...

BUT I have played along with Let's Scrap Sketches ... so here is what I have done!!!

This is from this weeks sketch... here is the sketch I played with:

Of course I don't seem to be able to scrapbook much of anything besides this beautiful little boy pics... this layout will be in the kids album of our little Yummy boy, Preston. 

I had bits and pieces left from my 100 Days Of Summer pack from Simple Stories and it was perfect for these pics.... 

A hot July day having a BBQ at Dave and Cindy's with the kids... Yummy does love the water, he is a little fish. No fear.. jumping in over and over with or without his little vest... guess who is getting swimming lessons this summer!! lol 

I listed a few of his favorite things from this summer.. popsicle were definitely top of his list and still are... ;0)

I LOVE these pics of Raym and his lil Preston... LOVE THEM!!! Something so incredibly sweet about capturing these moments with father and son.... 

This was Father's Day at Craig and Jammie's.. ;0)

I used Simple Stories 'Awesome' pack... Love this one for motorcycle pics and anything boys!

Well I hope you enjoyed seeing my latest layouts.... I need to get going on more, especially since I juts got another 350+ pics delivered from Snapfish... Yikes!!!

Challenge #2 at Let's Scrap Sketches

Hello!!! It's been awhile since I scrapbooked, other than getting kits ready so this felt a bit odd starting off again doing a BAM (book about me) layout... ;0)

This is for DT Bridgie's Challenge #2 at Let's Scrap Sketches

there were no rules other than doing a layout (or more) all about you!! Or, in this case, ME!!

Sooooo here is what I came up with:

a couple of 'selfies' I took of my 'new hair' right before my 48th birthday... 

yep... 48!! Ouch!!

Here is the sketch I worked with... I found it while surfing pinterest from 'Stick It Down'

So now I am off to post it to the Let's Scrap Sketches blog.... you still have a few days to play along with this challenge... let's see what you come up with!!!

Let's Scrap Design Team Challenge #192

This Design Team Challenge at Let's Scrap was put up by Susanna Granroth...

Her challenge was:

Create a one page layout using Sketch 3-3-10

You could choose which side of the sketch you wanted to use or even use a part in the middle. Flip it turn it or just use it as inspiration (which is what most of us do anyways... looks at it and take off running) NO cards were allowed in this challenge.

So then we had to pick a row or a column from the table below and use those elements in the layout. 

As well as going to Let's Scrap and picking a tutorial and working with it on the layout... alot of moving lil parts in this challenge... so it really made it a challenge to get it all working for you and your pics.. but it was fun!!!

So here is what I came up with:

I flipped the sketch and worked with the mid part of the sketch... I picked the second row across for my goodies and I used a tutorial on Let's Scrap that showed you how to use your embossing folders for stamps. Sooooo I have an arrow, hand wrote some journaling about the pics, added a few eyelets and some twine to the bottom of the row of pics and used my embossing folder and stamped some background on the page... 

I love these pics (Ok I love all pics of him) of Yummy walking across the front lawn using the house phone to call his Daddo... He would push on the buttons and jabber away and then tell him he loved him and pretent to hang up.. and dial again... what a cutie!! 

So come and play along with the challenge.... it is fun to challenge you scrapbooking style with something like this... Great challenge Susanna!!!
