This is an awful pic taken with my cell phone and a moving Preston.. but there is

something about it that I love... Is it because there is this adorable Grandson of mine

in the pic..??? Is it his eyes?? Is it the fact that I see those incredible chubby fingers of 

his?? I'm not sure what it is but I had to scrapbook it...

I have been just scrapbooking away here!! We took a 'veg' day.. no cleaning, no 

cooking just anything else.. so I scrapbooked!!! I'm still going!! ;0) 

Another Yummy layout... I just love this little pic of him. His mom and dad got him this

little hat for his Easter pics and I just love it on him... so adorable!!

Everything is in black and white... I inked in black and added

a bit of white ink around the lettering... my 'splash' of color is RED!!

I had to add those lips and a few lettering accents to splash about a bit!! ;0)

Both pages are the same colors... for some reason my scanner made

Lil Bug....

LOAD #8 & #9

I was playing along with Two Chicks on facebook tonight..

it was for 'Make Something Monday Virtual Crop'. There is a bit

of a time difference to I got started later and finished wayyyy later. But I did get

one out of the 3 layouts done and it was fun!! Here is the list that they wanted us to 

use for the #1 sketch:

2 vertical 4x6 photos

4 horizontal 4x6 photos

journaling card

2 sheets of coordinating patterned paper

2 sheets of cardstock for base

stickers, die cuts or coordinating embellishments

So here is my take on it....

Welcome to 1 2 3 Get Scrappy!

A new Challenge blog for Scrapbookers.

Challenges will be posted the 10th of each month.

We will be posting our very first challenge on August 10th. We will only have one challenge per month, giving you more time to create!

Our challenges will be a "tic tac toe" type board with 3 rows down and across. Each space will have a different crafty product/technique/idea. You must use 3 in a row either down, across or diagonal.

You will be able to enter each month's challenge up to 3 times and can combine as many other challenges (from other challenge blogs) as you'd like. For more information please click on the tab above.

We are looking for Design Team members.

For a 6 month term running August - February

Requirements:

~You must have a Face book account. We have a private group on FB where all the upcoming challenges are posted, we post our favorites and creations are posted for me to add to the challenge.

~You have to have had a blog for at least 1 year and be active in posting to that blog.

~You must create once a month for our challenges.

~ You must be available to comment on creations. There's nothing I dislike more than entering a challenge on someone's blog and no one commenting on my entry. That is just not nice. So, this is a big MUST!

Just a few photo's of Yummy with Grandpa sitting on the back of the Stratoliner. 

A little young but getting the feel of the seat already.. ;0)

The pics were a little dark so I chose to go with some brownish papers and inked

in brown .. you know... like I planned the pics to look like that the whole time!! ;0)

Poppies

LOAD #2 for July

Yep... another Yummy layout!!! When the California Poppies were in full bloom, there

was a mini field of them down the street. I couldn't wait to get lil Preston down there for

pics!!! Only one problem.. at that time he couldn't sit up by himself... so my thoughts of

him sitting in the middle of a Poppy field were gone!! But we adjusted!!

I am posting this for a new blog starting up.. 'Use Your Words Challenge Blog'. If you are interested in trying out for it click the 'here' under how to apply and follow the directions. Even if you aren't wanting to try out for this DT how fun will these challenges be!! Can't wait for this to get going!! ;0)

Design Team Call

Welcome to Use Your Words Challenge Blog! 

We are a new challenge blog dedicated to getting those photos scrapped.  The way we will work is to have monthly challenges centered on one word.  The challenge word will be given to you well in advance and you are to create your layout around this word.   To help us get off the ground and running we are going to need a Design Team so we are holding our very first Design Team call. I am looking for about 6 talented committed scrapbookers to provideone a month for our challenges.  Design team members can be traditional or digital scrappers.  The term will run for a 3 month period from July 1^st toOctober 1^st, 2013.  Challenges will be provided to you well in advance.  Challenges will post on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Why apply for our team? 

• To be inspired and to inspire others 
• To be on the ground floor of an up and coming blog 
• You will be a part of an amazing group of women and develop lifelong friendships with women from all over the world. 
• Your work will be featured on Facebook and Pinterest. 

What is expected of our Design Team? 

• Complete 2 projects per month (you will be given challenges at least a month in advance). 
• Comment on participants entries (THIS IS A MUST!).  Any team member not adhering to this rule will be promptly removed from the team so please make sure you can do this before applying. 
• Commit to a 3 month term (Beginning of  July to the beginning of October) 
• Keep an active blog that is updated frequently 
• Post our challenge and your project on your blog on reveal day and link back to the Use Your Words blog.

How to apply:

• Leave a comment HERE indicating you would like to apply 
• Tell me a little bit about yourself to include your style and whether or not you are on any other design teams. (no previous DT experience required) 
• Provide links to your blog and any online galleries. 
• Include 3 projects that best represent your style. 
• Place our DT call on your blog to help get the word out.
• You MUST have a Facebook account as we will have a private DT group on Facebook
• Become a Use Your Words follower
