8-1-17 Let's Scrap Sketch!!!!

Wow... it's been awhile since I posted!!! I just wrapped up my 

July LOAD Challenge to so I will be adding a post with all the layouts I did for that

soon too....!!!

So here is my layout for the 8-1-17 for Let's Scrap Sketches

Here is my layout.... Our little Yummy Grandson was playing helping Daddo water in the backyard and telling me all about the Venus Fly Trap... it was a serious conversation, the reason for the finger pointing... lol Also a monumental occasion for the fact that My Adorable One was wearing flip flops!!! I imported this man 20 years ago and I finally got him in flip flops.... no shoes, no socks...just flip flops.. this country girl is finally rubbing off on him... finally! lol They are both just too cute and I'm crazy about these boys!!! 

 This is the sketch by our amazing sketch designer and my friend Mich, without her I would be lost and besides... I love her double page sketches!!!!

Blog Hop Pic

So to play along in the Summer Fun Blog Hop it is required as the final 

step to take a pic of your scrap area as is right now!!!

Ok... here it is...

So here we have 'some' of my paper behind me.. I buy packs of papers to do up my kits with so those are all in the racks behind my chair... my corner holds my tool bag and a stack of unfinished projects on the table wayyyy over in the corner... moving on to my Cricut cartridges, pens, inks.. rounding the corner for my computer, stack of pictures to try and work on in the Scrapbooking LOAD Challenge for July.. try and work on!! lol My glues, inks, eyelets and such that I was using when I was working on the layout for the Blog Hop and then, of course, the layout for the Blog Hop... I have wayyyy more stuff in my room but this is where I sit... chat... browse the internet... and create... my little piece of heaven and all within the same room as My Adorable One.. he has a 'corner' in the room too!! lol 

Can't wait to see what everyone has in there little space... :)

So here is the sketch we played with by Mich:

This is our beautiful Grandson Preston aka Yummy!!! If you have seen my blog before you now that he is what I scrapbook most.. he is gorgeous... we are just crazy about this little guy...!! 

I didn't use tags.. on the far right side of the layout I have used 'magic mesh' (old school goodies) I also used alot of large eyelets ( I have a boxes filled with them so I used them alot) I love using eyelets because they can fill up those spaces that need a bit more... I have also used tire track washi tape. Did the dictionary description of Boy because it just fit with the layout, and I had an old Deluxe Cut laser cut laying around. And finished!! 

I love playing with Mich's sketches... she is so talented and creative. Sometimes she really makes me think out of the box trying to work with her sketches and I love that!! I also love how the Design Team is so inspired by them.. and all so differently!!

I have to say that this Blog Hop has amazing girls playing along... each and everyone of them has been on the Design Team at one point or another and I love that they were so willing to jump in and play along again... So have fun jumping to the next blog Chriss's and make sure that you start and end at Let's Scrap Sketches

Backyard Adventure

Wow... well it has been a bit since I have had the time to play along with the sketches but I did manage it this weekend and just in time for this sketch reveal from Let's Scrap Sketches!!

So here is the sketch I used:

being I have not been scrapbooking much it took me all day to get this layout done... all day.. can you believe that!!! Of course I HAD to use some Yummy pics!! This poor baby is not even 4 yrs old and I am soooooooo behind in getting his pics scrapbooked... mind you I have stacks of layouts done.. some in albums and most not.. stacks of them and I have equal stacks of pics waiting for me to get to them... good thing I only have 1 Grandson or I would be in big trouble!!!

Let's Scrap Sketches 8-15-15

It's me again!! I don't get to scrapbook near as much as I would like too but I did

manage to get this double page layout done with the 8-15-15 sketch at Let's Scrap Sketches!!

Raymond and Makayla took Yummy to the ocean for the first time... Fort Bragg is the place to go for our area...lol These are a few of the pics that Raym took of there trip and I thought this sketch was just perfect... I even have a bit of hidden journaling behind one of his pics. 

I used an old line of paper I had here from when we had our scrap store and some embelli's that I have had 'forever'.... dusted it with some inks and here it is!!! Great pics of a great trip... ;0)

Guest Designer on Sketchy Boards Blog

Hey everyone.... I barely have time to play along with my own challenge blogs but I was recently asked to be Guest Designer for August on Sketchy Boards Challenge Blog by Heidi and how could I say no!! 

So she zapped me the sketch and color inspiration... my first thought when I saw it was... are you kidding me??? Obviously she doesn't 'know' me... lol Purple and white?? Well it could have been worse.. it could have been Pink!! lol So out of my comfort zone I started off with this challenge.. ;0) 

So here is the sketch and the color inspiration I was given:

Ok.. so then I start thinking of what pics I want to play with for this color inspiration.... thinking.. I'm thinking... lol  So I thought of one of the newest members of our family and one that I see alot of pics of on facebook.... so I go and swipe pics that my cousin Jammie took of her little niece Afton. Perfect... now I am inspired to get this going!! I zap the pics off to Walgreens and as soon as my daycare kids are gone I am in the car to pick them up and then my scrapbooking process begins.. ;0) Because, YES sometimes it is a process!! So this is what I came up with for this sketch challenge:

I choose to change the pics from circles on the sketch to 4x4's and one 4x3.. staggering a bit. The background I chose to take my white cardstock and ink it with Tim Holtz distress ink Dusty Concord and splashed with some Glimmer Mist (which I have tons of still!!). I dug thru my scraps and found the papers I wanted to use and pulled out some flowers and finished it off with some Lilac Liquid Pearls in my stash.... I'm happy with the way it turned out...

Let's Scrap Sketch 7-1-15

Wow... it's been awhile since I did a blog post for my own blog, let alone get any scrapbooking done for myself...!! I feel like I am discovering new country here... lol 

So I am also playing along with the LOAD Challenge on Facebook ... so this is #1 layout for July!!

So I had the time to play with this new sketch from Mich one of our sketch designers at Let's Scrap Sketches and I love the way it turned out... of course, these are pics of our little Yummy Grandson aka Preston and his Daddo. He loves going to the part with Daddo and is always wanting to have him by his side to help him out.... I love it!!!

So here is the sketch:

 This is what I did with the sketch... I used some Simple Stories papers... 

I do love the way it turned out and a bit excited to get some more scrapbooking done over this month!!!

Let's Scrap Sketches 2-11-15

I think I am finally getting back in the swing of this scrapbooking stuff!! I have spent soo much time getting blog stuff and Admin stuff done with the 2 sketch groups.. and if you don't know about them they are Let's Scrap Sketches and Feeling Sketchy and I didn't have time to scrapbook much. But now, with the help of the LOAD Challenge last month.. I'm up and running again!!! 

Sooooo here we go... this is for this weeks sketch at Let's Scrap Sketches!!!

I know... of course they are Yummy pics!!! I have stacks and stacks of Yummy pics to scrapbook... I'm thinking I haven't had alot going on other than this gorgeous lil grandson of mine.. not a hardship though... pure joy!! 

We take him to the fair every summer... this was August 2013 and he was so intent on eating his cookies while he was taking in all the sites and sounds of the fair... it was just too cute for me not to take alot of pics of... ;0) What a face!!!!

Great sketch right?? Oh the possibilities with this one... single page... double page... flip it... turn it... ohhhh I will be using this one over and over again I'm sure...

Let's Scrap Sketches 2-4-15

Good Morning Everyone!!

I guess I am still a bit inspired to scrapbook after my great LOAD Challenge...

So I went to work on a Let's Scrap Sketches sketch... so here we go...

2-4-15

Of course... YUMMY!! I took these pics the beginning of last year... 

the kids and I went shopping at the mall and I got these on my cell phone of 

this Gorgeous lil Yummy Boy and his handsome daddy... I love these pics.. they 

are some of the sweetest photo's... ;0) Love these boys!!! This little Yummy is this

Daddy's mini me... thru and thru... ;0)

So here is the sketch I worked with... designed by Denise 

What a great sketch to play with.... I usually love to use the sketches as a double page layout but I had the other pics laying on my desk that just screamed to be used... who am I too argue!! ;0)

Ohhhh More Load Layouts!!!

Ok... so some more LOAD Layouts... some of these were from kits and some I had just to finish up... but done is done and they are DONE!! :0)

Load #14 & #15

Daddo and Yummy at the Pumpkin Farm playing on the tires... this was Yummy's favorite part of the whole day.. ;0) Busy soooo busy he kept telling me.. ;0)

Load #16 & #17

His second Christmas... not really into opening stuff but he did like playing with it all.. and he was droolin' like a little monkey cutting teeth.. lol

He was sooo tiny in Daddo big arms... Daddo had a hard time burping him. He would say if I hit him too hard he will come back when he is 18 and knock me out.. telling me remember when you did it to me? lol Yummy was very patient with his Daddo though.. love the expressions.. ;0) 

Load #20 & 21

Yummy loved my scraps of paper... I have a box under my desk and when Yummy would go home for the day the paper was spread from one end of the house to the other.. pieces here and there and some had been eaten.. Yummmm???

More feeding and burping pics of Daddo and Yummy... soooo cute!!!

Ok... so that is a great half of the LOAD month for me lets see what else I can get done!!!

January 1st... the LOAD Challenge!!!

Happy New Year!! I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Years Eve and are starting off the New Year right.... Me?? I'm starting by kicking off this LOAD (LayOut A Day) challenge.. if you want to join us it is never to late to start with us on our Scrapbooking LOAD Facebook Page

Sooooo I'm not one for New Years Resolutions but my 'goal' this year in scrapbooking is to use up some of my 'kits' parts and pieces I have left from layouts that are scattered about as well as using up some of these TONS of bits and pieces of scraps... I literally have boxes of them because I just 'can't' throw them away.. I might be able to use them somewhere... well that will be my goal this year!! lol

So hopefully I can get some more layouts done today but there are other things that I need to attend to as well... but I got 3 layouts done all using pieces that were left from Simple Stories 24/7 paper packs. Unfortunately I still have enough to do several more layouts... !! lol

Daddo and Yummy cuddling on the couch and they both fell asleep... it was just to precious not to snap this photo and scrap it!! ;0)

We will pull into the parking lot at Starbucks Yummy will say 'Grandma 'needs' coffee' and I will say laughing.. YES she does!!! He always gets an apple juice but truth be told I know he only wants the green straw.. it makes for an awesome sword when he is done with his drink.. ;0)

Cindy and Dave went on a Mexican cruise and brought him back this cute little guitar with his name on it.... he LOVES this guitar... it is 'my tar' as Yummy says.. lol This was just way to adorable not to take pics of.. he is sooooo cool!!! ;0)

Yummy blowing kisses and having fun... lol This kid kills me.. he fills his Grandma with so much joy. Love this kid to pieces!! 

Well back at it and hopefully I will get more layouts going today... I really want to make my 31+ layouts this month.. if feels really really good to get some scrapbooking done!! ;0)

We’re looking for talented scrapbookers who love to create layouts with sketches, and are committed to creating quality layouts/cards each month.

1)     Why would you like to be part of Let’s Scrap Sketches Design Team?

What we expect from our Design Team:

3)     Keep an active blog, posting your project on reveal day and link back to Let’s Scrap Sketches.. this is a                 MUST!

4)     You must have a facebook account as we will have a private DT group on Facebook.

5)     You must become a follower of our blog http://letsscrapsketches.blogspot.com/.

6)     You will be required to comment on layouts left by participants. This is essential.

If you cannot fully commit to the above duties please don't apply. If you are chosen and don't complete the above duties we will drop you from the DT.

There might be some ‘special challenges’ through your term that you will be required to participate in but there will be at least a 30 day notice. Occasionally we will have digi stamp sponsors that want us to use their images in our creations… you will be notified of this when the sketches are provided for the Design Team Term.

The deadline for applications is February 1st  at 11:59 p.m. Previous design team experience is not required. International applications are welcome! The individuals chosen to join the team will be notified via email by February 5th and the new team will be announced on our blog February 20th with your application layout revealed on March 1st on the blog.

I have been falling behind on my blog posts of my recent layouts.. 

probably because I haven't had much time to put into creating lately...

BUT I have played along with Let's Scrap Sketches ... so here is what I have done!!!

Of course I don't seem to be able to scrapbook much of anything besides this beautiful little boy pics... this layout will be in the kids album of our little Yummy boy, Preston. 

I had bits and pieces left from my 100 Days Of Summer pack from Simple Stories and it was perfect for these pics.... 

A hot July day having a BBQ at Dave and Cindy's with the kids... Yummy does love the water, he is a little fish. No fear.. jumping in over and over with or without his little vest... guess who is getting swimming lessons this summer!! lol 

I listed a few of his favorite things from this summer.. popsicle were definitely top of his list and still are... ;0)

Hello!!! It's been awhile since I scrapbooked, other than getting kits ready so this felt a bit odd starting off again doing a BAM (book about me) layout... ;0)
